Tree removal

Tree Removal, done carefully.

Most trees we take down around Lee's Summit aren’t standing in an open field. They’re over a roof, wedged between a fence and a deck, or leaning toward a line. So we don’t drop them in one piece. From the lift or a climbing line, the tree comes down in controlled sections: limbs first, then the trunk in rounds, each piece lowered where it can’t hurt anything.

Before anything is cut, Josh walks the job with you and explains exactly what’s coming down, where the pieces will go, and what the yard will look like when we leave. Customers bring that up a lot in their reviews: no surprises, not on the day and not on the bill.

When the tree is on the ground, the job isn’t done. We cut the wood, haul off the brush and debris, and clean up so the yard is usable again. Want the stump gone too? We can grind it as part of the same job and backfill the spot with soil and seed.

  • Stump grinding on request, with soil and seed to finish the spot
  • A licensed and insured crew, led by the owner

When to call

Signs a tree should come down

Not sure? Text a photo to (816) 491-5867 and Josh will tell you what he sees.

  1. It’s dead, or mostly bare in summer while the trees around it are full
  2. It leans more than it used to, or the soil is cracking and lifting at the base
  3. There are deep cracks, cavities or mushrooms growing on the trunk
  4. Big limbs over the house keep breaking off in every storm
  5. A storm split the trunk or tore the top out
  6. It’s in the way of an addition, a driveway, a fence or a pool
Trunk left standing after a removal, with brush piled and the boom lift parked beside it
Mid-removal: limbs down, trunk next
Backyard after a tree removal with the trunk cut into rounds and the stump ready to grind
Removal day: rounds cut, stump next
Chainsaw cutting a log into rounds, sawdust flying
Wood cut to length if you want it

Josh, the owner, communicated exactly what would be done, showed up precisely when he said he would, and did an amazing job…

Questions

Tree Removal FAQ

Do you haul everything away?

Yes. Brush, limbs and debris leave with us and the yard gets cleaned up before we go. If you’d like to keep some of the wood for the fireplace or fire pit, tell us and we’ll leave it cut in rounds.

Can you remove a tree that’s right next to the house?

That’s a big part of what we do. The tree comes down in sections from the lift or a climbing line, so nothing has to fall toward the house. Josh will walk you through the plan at the estimate.

How fast can you get out here?

Call or text (816) 491-5867. We’re open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM. If a tree is on the house, a car or blocking the driveway, say so when you call so we can prioritize it.
